Family Photos | Tibble Fork Resevoir

I always feel so lucky to be surrounded by so many great photographers. This is the second year that we traded family photos with our good friends the Ashby's. We pick a location and then just trade off shooting. I'm so happy we chose Tibble Fork Reservoir up American Fork Canyon. I think this may have been the last nice weekend of the year, it ended up snowing up the canyons yesterday. I am so sad to see Fall go, I have enjoyed it immensely.

As I looked through the photos on the camera in the car on the way home I couldn't help but cry. I can't believe how beautiful our little family is. Life seems so so busy, I am happy to have a moment in time frozen in these photos.

We have had a photo shoot every Saturday for the last month and a half and we are booked through the middle of November. I have to remind myself that it is a blessing to have the business, because it definitely takes away from family time. Have I mentioned I am doing all the editing and managing Jared's website and pinterest. This is now a legitimate FAMILY business! I can't wait for the semester to be over either. I miss my husband!

Love my little family even though Ellie brings me to an emotional breaking point almost daily. She is literally my shadow! But darn it. she is so dang cute I can't stay mad at her, especially when she says things like, "whoa" "please" "Momma". I mean SERIOUSLY, it melts me. I'm just asking for a little space, to do things like go to the bathroom, or cook a meal without her shoving herself in between me and the stove. SIGH.

This year I vow to have one of these photos printed to hang on the wall. It WILL happen!

Fall Colors | Part Two

South Fork, Provo Canyon

Jared shot some bridals up at South Fork and I have to say, South Fork is one of my favorite places in Utah Valley. There is a huge field of the most perfect green grass. A beautiful bubbling stream and all these little deer trails that weave through picnic spots. I love this place!

Ellie playing in leaves. The epitome of Fall, wouldn't you say? Playing in leaves is something everyone should experience. I always loved the Fall as a kid because it meant raking a missive pile of leaves and jumping in them and stuffing them down each other's shirts. Ahh the memories!

Hobble Creek Canyon, Springville, Utah

Here is my hiking buddy, right here. We are Outdoor Women!! Miriam and I laughed thinking about us looking back at pictures of us going hiking with our LITTLE babies. So glad we have each other, and we have stuck to our goal of getting out and exploring!

Our trip up Hobble Creek was a great adventure. As we drove in we passed a sign that said, "watch for cows on the road." We passed a few, then as we parked and got out of the car we heard a few more. We got the kids all situated and headed out for our hike, and saw more cows. Before you know it there was an entire cattle drive down the road. It was awesome! The hike was maybe one of our best, incredible peaceful, and super easy. This was my first time up Hobble Creek Canyon and I can't wait to explore more in the Spring.

The light was PERFECT in this spot, of course no one would sit still, and meltdowns ensued, hence the photo of Ellie clawing at my legs. She is still beautiful though.
