So I have a few new loves in my life! Besides my wonderful husband Jared, I have discovered this last week how amazing a pastry cloth can be. It made making cut out cookies so easy. I also mad our Valentine's Day dinner using cooking wine in the pasta sauce, it was so so good. Jared and I spent Valentine's Day having a wonderful dinner and dessert, followed by watching the Olympics. I made a really good pasta with a white wine cream sauce with zucchini, cherry tomatoes, shrimp, fresh basil, garlic, onion and fresh parmesan cheese, I got the recipe from the pioneer women website....I love that website! The dessert was a vanilla bean panna cotta. First of all I did not realize how expensive vanilla beans were, but it was worth it. This was an experiment for me, but it turned out good. You add gelatin so it has a consistency of jello or pudding. I topped it with berries and whipped cream..Delicious! Hope everyone has an amazing Valentines day filled with LOVE!!

Much needed snow

While Eureka and Salinas were getting pounded with rain, we got snow! Jared and I love the snow, and well winter just isn't the same without it. I like to think that if its going to be so dang cold it might as well be snowing so there is something pretty to look at. Friday night it came down...and I had to drive home from work in what I would call blizzard conditions, maybe im exaggerating a little..but I was scared. The next morning we woke up to everything being white. This is one of the many reasons why Jared and I love living in Utah. We are continually amazed by the beautiful mountains, and Timp looks so awesome covered in snow. We still miss the beach though. But here are some pictures for the family in California to see. Bridal Fair

Jared had a booth at the Bridal Fair at Thanksgiving point. It was a fun but a busy day. Jared did all the set up the day before, and yes that is all our living room furniture. We had alot of brides visit the booth and we handed out alot of fliers. We have already had a few call backs, and we hope we get even more. Jared is such an amazing photographer, and I love to see him in action. One of the brides that booked with him said that they came back to Jared Medley Photography because alot of the other photographers at the fair were so annoying...haha. Jared has become a very good business man and he is wonderful to work with. 

Christmas Festivities

Our first Christmas together was awesome, we got to see both sides of the family, and we had our belated wedding reception in Eureka. Eureka was perfect and raining, and I got to see Sequoia Park. Salinas was awesome, the weather was beautiful, and I finally got to show Jared my old stomping grounds.

Yes its been 4 months since Jared and I were married, and finally putting pictures up. The pictures were taken by Sarah. We love being married and we are getting to the point were we dont quite feel like newlyweds anymore.

Fall Break

Jared and I had fall break, which gave us an extended weekend. We slept in, played tennis, went to savers where Jared found a sweet three piece suit. We will be shopping there for Halloween costumes soon. We made pumpkin cookies,  which were delicious, took a hike, made fajitas, watched Bolt with Gideon and Katie...I think that sums up the excitement for our Fall break. Jared and I are both so busy with school that this break was much needed. We are both looking forward to the end of the semester, we are just about at the mid term mark. I just cant wait to be done with anatomy...everyone has heard my horror stories about the class already. Jared and I have officially been married for one month and we are so happy. We love married life and look forward to the holidays when we can see the family again. Sorry we haven't posted any pictures yet, we will soon, promise.

The Medley's: The Beginning

Jared and I are now married! The adventure began as we left for California. We arrived in Sacramento on Thursday, we got our marriage license while Hannah and Naomi picked Sarah up at the airport. We took amazing pictures that night in Old Town Sacramento and at the Sacramento Temple. The rest of the family arrive that night. On Friday Jared and I were sealed in the Sacramento Temple! We were so happy to have everyone one from Jared's family there, even Sarah and Rachel who flew out from the east coast. After the temple we all travels down to Salinas where we had dinner at my house. Our families met and it was wonderful! On Saturday we had our ring ceremony and reception at Mount Madonna County Park in Watsonville. The locations was beautiful, the weather was perfect, all of our friends and family were there, the food was delicious, and the decorations were perfect. Everything about our wedding weekend went perfect, everyone traveled safely, everyone had fun, and Jared and I couldn't have asked for anything more. We had a great time and are grateful for all who came. We are back in Utah now and getting back into the swing of things. Jared and I are back to school and loving married life. We laugh alot and love just being at home and doing nothing.
