October

October was the busiest month! My parents came to town to experience what a real Fall looks like. We did all sorts of stuff. Made cookies, went to the Aerospace Museum at Hill Air Force Base, drove Guardman's Pass again, Visited with Grandpa Dee and Grandma Jeanie, went to the pumpkin patch, planted bulbs, sewed,  and talked and laughed and ate good food!

The rest of the month was filled with more family. We watched Jack for a few days. We had numerous photo shoots that of course I accompanied Jared on. I can't turn down an opportunity to drive up American Fork Canyon. We tried to get out and enjoy the fall colors as much as we could, we raked the leaves on our front lawn. We have a front lawn with a pile of leave. That is basically a dream come true!

Ellie is potty trained!! It finally clicked. I have been really proud of her. We haven't had as many accidents as I would have thought, and she is doing a really good job of communicating to me when she needs to go. She has received numerous rewards for peeing on the potty. She got a new bike that she calls her "Otto bike" after her friend Otto.

We did a few lighting projects on the house. Jared is now an electrician ;). He installed can lights and a new light fixture over out kitchen table. One was easier and less stressful than the other, I'll let you guess :).

We got to go to a Jazz game with a bunch of Jared's mission companions. We got to sit in a suite, it was a really fun night. I wish I knew who was actually playing for the Jazz right now, it may have been a little more exciting of a game. We had amazing company though. I'm biased but I think Jared has the best mission companions. They have such a special relationship. Maybe it was because their mission was SO foreign. I love his Mozambique family.

Now here is a bunch of photos, enjoy!

5 Years

How did we get to 5 years?! and how did I get so lucky?! Jared and I sat and talked about being married for 5 years and I told him I had never done anything significant for 5 years. I went to high school for 4 years, same with college, but I have never stuck with anything for 5 years....except marriage. That's a pretty crazy thought. It's been a crazy 5 years. I feel we may have been robbed of our honeymoon phase since we literally got home and I went back to school to the toughest semester I ever had, but where we are now I think is much better than what a honeymoon phase would have been. I feel extremely lucky to be with Jared. He takes care of me in all aspects of life and puts up with my particular ways. I am continually amazed by him, all of you who know him know how ambitious he is. It blows my mind that he taught himself how to do computer coding this last year and is now building websites for people. (seriously, are you kidding me, he's so smart!). Sometimes I wish I could retain information like he does, but I think our minds balance each other out and well it's been working pretty good for 5 years. He works so so  hard, leaving the house in the dark and commuting to Salt Lake and returning home in the dark in the evening.

My love, my best friend. Thank you for working so incredible hard, for always pushing yourself and reaching new goals in your career. Thank you for being an amazing father to our little girl. Thank you for passing down your attractive genes to her ;). Thank you for being patient with me, and loving me unconditionally. I love your beard..don't ever shave it. I love lounging on the couch and watching every TV series hulu, netflix and HBO have to offer.  I love our life together, I wouldn't change a thing.

Forgotten Photos

I love stumbling across photos I completely forgot I took. I believe these were taken while we were packing getting ready to move. I can't believe we have been in our house now for 5 months. How time flies. At least I have photos like these to capture all the precious moments.

Check out that back light!! It was a proud moment for me!

Ellie and Rosie....they just love each other!
