Ellie- 12 Months

12 months
weight: 17lbs 14.5 oz. (6%)
Length: 28" (17%)
head circ: 45.6 (69%)

Her birthday week has ended and we officially have a one year old. It still blows my mind. She has more energy than ever. She is walking faster than ever and will run away from us on a regular basis. People constantly say that she looks to small to be walking, well believe it folks, she's walking! She got one of her top teeth and there are two more making there way through. Having teeth makes her look a lot older. She is becoming more interested in books, she still wont really sit still to read on but she likes to flip through the pages herself. The weather has been warming up and we have been enjoying getting outside, whether it's going on a jog, playing in the driveway or going to the park. She is a very determines little girl, pretty stubborn and strong willed. It makes me a little nervous, but I know it will be a strong attribute in the future.

We had a fun little party for her with the family, she loved her monkey cupcake and was exhausted at the end of the night. I would say she enjoyed herself :)

Almost One

How is it possible that you can lay a child down for a nap and they wake up a different person? That's what happened to Ellie today. I got her up and she seems older, more capable. She is doing a weird new laughing thing, and holding onto stuff and kind of running in place.....she is crazy. She decided to  sign "more" and "all done". I can't believe she is going to be 1 next week!! I made her a tutu for her birthday. I am sure we will have a legit photo shoot with her but I was practicing shooting manuel. Prepare for a photo overload.......

"Hey Ellie want to have a photo shoot?"

"Sure mom. Is this pose okay?"

"What if I look down and pretend your not there?"

"Get a shot where im walking away all dramatic."

"How's that mom?"

I could photograph her ALL DAY! My Beauty!

This is what most of the pictures look like. Up close and personal.
