We always have a few places that we HAVE to go when visiting Eureka. This trip Fern Canyon was at the top of our list. With Ellie's love for Jurassic Park and the scenes in Part 2 being filmed there, we had to go. Of course we also went to Moonstone Beach, Patrick's Point, and Old town Eureka as well.
Our day at Moonstone Beach was perfect. It was overcast and we thoroughly enjoyed running around the beach, getting our toes in the sand and finding driftwood and shells. Lucy had her first taste of beach sand, and loved crawling around getting dirty.
In between adventures of course we were at Grandpa Dee and Grandma Jeanie's house. Jared spent a lot of time with Grandpa in the shop.

EVERY NIGHT! This is how we rolled up to Grandma and Grandpas house. A sign of a day well spent!
Fern Canyon was beautiful as always. Ellie loved running around, climbing on logs and throwing rock in the stream.
Patrick's Point and Agate Beach were a first for me. It was so fun and relaxing digging through rocks looking for agates. Ellie loved it and we all almost fell asleep on the beach laying in the warm rocks and listening to the crashing waves.
Downtown Eureka for Los Bagels of course and par-oozing some of the cute local shops.
I had to put up the picture of Lucy only to document the first time she has eaten corn bread and to note that feeding a 10 month old corn bread is a bad idea. She made such a mess, Corn bread everywhere!
Until next time Eureka!!
