Thanksgiving Vacation

November was a crazy month for us. I flew out to Salinas at the beginning of the month with Ellie and Lucy. My alma mater, Hartnell College was having the Northern California Championship cross country race in town and I was to go. There were a few alumni there and it was great to catch up after almost 10 years.

It was a relaxing trip, we mostly just hung out at my parents house. Lucy was only 2 months old so I was still adjusting to going on outings with both kids.

Lucy was having a really hard time nursing the whole time we were in California, I think she has a tongue tie issue, we are going to the the ear nose throat doctor tomorrow.

Ellie had her own room at Grandma's house, with a full size bed. She was excited and slept like a rock every night. She got up at about 5:30 or 6 every morning but luckily my mom is a morning person so they got some one on one time each morning.

We spent our time going to the park across the street, taking the dog for walks, taking a few trips to the beach, and Dennis the menace park in Monterey

Part of the reason we went home for Thanksgiving was because we were going to a wedding the weekend before. I was a bridesmaid and Ellie was a flower girl. I wanted to curl her hair and decided the try curlers. There was a bit of a learning curve. Ellie's hair gave us a really good laugh the next morning.

Another conformation that Lucy is a little mini me.

We found ALL the dinosaur books in grandma's book shelf.

Denis the Menace park was a hit, especially the bridge.

Ellie spent a lot of time with Papa, drawing, painting and learning to blow on the french horn,

A trip to Asilomar Beach, we packed lunches and walked on the beach and ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the car.

She was showing Lucy a book (my heart exploded).

My best friend Lisa got married and it was a two day affair. We had a wedding rehearsal and Catholic ceremony one day and the big wedding the next day. Both days were absolutely beautiful, you would have never guessed it was November. I was a bridesmaid, Ellie was the flower girl and Jared was the photographer. My mom watched Lucy the day of the wedding and it was such a huge help. It was an early morning to head over and get ready. They had a beautiful ceremony and a great reception with a delicious breakfast buffet. Im still thinking about the bear claw I ate. We were all so tired after getting up at 5am, especially Ellie who had never stopped moving the whole day. Of course we got in the car and she promptly fell asleep.

She loved to twirl in her dress. She acted like she had been in a wedding before. She walked down the aisle so perfectly, alternating throwing petals from left to right, walking at the perfect pace and then gave the groom a huge hug. She sure knows how to turn on the charm!

The details of the wedding were so perfect, down to the place cards and individual jam jars.

Ellie looking a little tired

Thanksgiving was a beautiful day. We watched football, ate lots of food, took naps and Ellie covered herself in stickers. It was a great day

Ellie was so excited and have her own "fancy" glass and insisted on doing cheers with everyone.

Ross and Lynsie are expecting a little boy at the end of January and so I took some maternity picture for them. They live out in a beautiful area so we were able to just walk around the property and take pictures. I was so happy with how they turned out, and I can't wait to see my little nephew.
