Grandma and Papa Time

We were the last stop on my parents trailer trip. They had been all the way down to New Mexico and made their way up to Utah. We always LOVE when they come to town. We did a whole lot of nothing really. Just hung around the house mostly. Played in the backyard, did some gardening, endured a wind storm, barbecued. As always it was a wonderful visit!

Ellie puddle jumping after a down pour.

We made two, maybe three trips to the garden center. Got lots a veggies, and a new climbing rose.

As always Grandma comes bearing gifts. The hit this time was a dress up box full of my Grandma's old scarves. Endless possibilities!!

We endured a crazy 24 hour wind storm. It was pretty scary. Knocked the power out, blew some shingles off our roof and downed lots of trees. We felt really lucky that all we lost were shingles. A lot of people lost siting, and had damage from falling trees. We slept in the basement because the wind was so loud and blew all night long. The wind gust were up to 85 mph. I had never experienced something like that. We quickly realized we might need to invest in a generator for future power outages. It was pretty amazing to see how the community members rallied together to help each other out. Also Jared learned out to re shingle a roof. Always learning new life skills ;)

8 Month old Lucy

Almost crawling. Scooting around the house on her tummy. Liking solid food and sleeps great.

A day warm enough for Ellie to try out her new swim suit.

My mom and I dug out a whole portion of the yard to turn into a planter. We moved the grass to fill in some blank spots in the yard and made room to plants more tomatoes, green beans, peppers, and two kinds of zucchini. I loved having my moms help, I was able to get so much more done with her help. The garden is going to be insane this year!
