We never look forward to the long dive home from California. Luckily we were equipped with every electronic device possible to entertain the kids. We stopped at the Sacramento Temple to stretch our legs and show Ellie where we got married. It such a beautiful temple and I have always loved the huge field of oak trees. We hadn't been there since we were married almost 8 years ago. We got over Donner Pass and stopped at Cabela's to stretch our legs again before we settled into our hotel in Reno. The hotel was sub par, which it usually is when we need a pet friendly room, but we ate In and Out burger and settled in for the night. I can't believe we lucked out with such nice weather on this trip. It was clear with hardly any snow. Only a few weeks later the Sierras got record breaking snow. It's always nice to get home, even if it was coming home to the cold winter.
