Lucy's One

I'm going to say what everyone else says. This year went by so fast! It really did though. I can remember the day Lucy came into this world so vividly. This last year has been a whirl wind and my life seemed to get so busy since Lucy arrived. More laundry, more dishes, more cleaning, more baths, more food....... It was a tiring year but we made it. Now we get to enter into such a fun phase with Lucy, walking and talking.

She is a total ham and already has such an attitude.
She has 7 teeth with one that has been trying to make it's debut for over a month now.
She is a decent eater, about what you would expect for a 1 year old
She loves her soft blanket, it's a $5 wal mart blanket that we cut into small pieces. Has to have it for bed time.
She is scared of old people, especially when they wear glasses. It makes our doctor visits really fun ;)
She really wants to climb and I'm trying to strike a balance between letting her explore and increase her capabilities and not letting her die or break a bone.
She likes to do whatever Ellie is doing and that makes Ellie annoyed. We are trying to figure that out.
She still takes two naps a day.
She loves spending time in the bathroom unrolling the toilet paper and taking things out the the cupboard.

We are excited to see her grow and learn this next year and to see Lucy and Ellie's relationship grow.

I didn't plan a birthday party this year. She is just 1 and has no idea whats going on. I bought her a few new toys and she loved the play microphone. I made her a watermelon cake that stuck to the pan but still tasted good. She loved her cake and made a huge mess so I would call it a success.
