July was filled with lots of festivities. We failed to see any fireworks this year, I wasn't about to keep Ellie up until 10pm to watch them. We have many years in the future for fireworks. Ogden comes alive the month of July. They have a week of Pioneer Day activities; parades, rodeo, farmers market, etc. We went to both parades and have tried to keep ourselves busy, passing the time before the baby comes.
Watching the opening parade for the Rodeo with our friends the Phipps. Ellie and Edison were born a day apart. Pretty sure we are going to arrange a marriage between these two!
We've done a few things to get ready for baby. Ellie now has a bunk bed. She loves it and hasn't fallen out (thank heavens). We plan on having both girls in the same room, we will see how it goes, we can always move Ellie to the basement. We put the crib up and still need to assemble a few baby items. I've got all the clothes out and put away. You would think I feel more prepared but I feel like I'm missing things. I keep thinking "do I have everything I need" I guess we will see.
Tagging along on a photo shoot with dad
My mom came to town to help out and keep me company for 2 weeks! It was so amazing. We got a ton of stuff done and she helped out with Ellie so much. It was nice to have Ellie's energy bouncing off someone else for a change. We canned, went to the zoo, shopped for baby and ourselves, gardened, and sewed. It was so fun!

Ogden Pioneer Day Parade
Albion Basin near Alta ski resort.
I have seen numerous photographers posting pictures taken at Albion Basin. The wildflowers were out of this world, so we decided to take a drive and see for ourselves. It was beautiful. Can't wait to go back next year and actually take a hike.
Happy 60th Birthday Mom!
Starting to harvest from the garden. Plenty of zucchini, fresh basil, and a few tomatoes. We have 3 pumpkins so far, sunflowers and cucumbers coming on.
