December 2017

Getting in as many walks as we can before it's too cold.

Christmas Jammies!!

These girls get closer by the day. They have been playing more and more lately.

First snow day. They played for a few minutes and then Ellie unintentionally pushed Lucy in the snow and there were tears and I lost my temper and we were back in the house. We managed to get a few cute photos before the meltdown.

Oh December and the Ward Christmas Party. Jared and I were asked to spear head the Christmas Party this year. We enlisted some help from a few people for the decorations and then asked for sign ups for the main dishes. Jared and I still got so much food at Costco....crazy!

I spent the entire day before setting up the gym, a handful of ladies came and helped out but I was still there until 11 at night. It was a learning experience, a lot of work and I would do a few things differently. All in all it came out wonderful, I was just one tired lady afterward.

The Theme was "He is the Gift"
The centerpieces were gifts, we had great food, a photo booth and an awesome 12 Days of Christmas sing along. I was exhausted and emotional the whole morning and overcome by all the help from our wonderful ward members.

After a busy few weeks we headed out of town to Park City to just spend time together as our little family. We used a friends condo and had a great time. Lots of food, ice skating and shopping. It was perfect!

Ellie rocked the ice skating and Lucy cried until we rented her skates. Jared drug her around the rink and had sore hamstrings after about 10 minutes.

We tried "Freshies" and paid way too much money for Lobster rolls with Lobster flown in from Maine daily. They were delicious but still expensive.

Temple Lights, ate dinner at Harmons and avoided the food court crowds. The girls had a blast and the weather was perfect.

Ellie's class Christmas program. They sang all the songs they had been practicing, so darn cute!

A new oven, thanks to my mom and dad.
It's beautiful and I definitely put it to work baking Christmas cookies.

We checked all the Christmas festivities off the list. Lastly Ogden Christmas Village.

Another white Christmas, we set out cookies, watched the snow and anticipated the arrival of Santa.

Another overwhelming Christmas morning. Ellie's favorite this year was a jewelry box and nail polish. Lucy didn't know what to think. They both loved a marble run we got them and we ended the day sledding.
